Business Attorney Katie Kalbacher Joins HHM

WARREN, Ohio — Harrington, Hoppe & Mitchell, Ltd. today announced the addition of attorney Katie M. Kalbacher as an associate in the firm.

Her practice areas include business law, taxation, health care, real estate and affordable housing. She is based in the firm’s Warren office.

Before joining HHM, Kalbacher worked on health care, legislation, and voting rights issues for the American Civil Liberties Union.  She previously served as a law clerk at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, where she dealt with regulatory compliance, real estate taxation, intellectual property policy, and hospital partnerships.

“Katie’s addition has strengthened our capabilities to provide legal solutions for business, healthcare and nonprofit clients in a wide range of areas,” said Kevin P. Murphy, chair of HHM’s management committee.

Kalbacher received her Juris Doctor from the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, where she was Chief Justice of the Moot Court program and an editor for the Ohio State Business Law Journal. She was a finalist at the 2015 Ruby R. Vale Interschool Corporate Moot Court Competition in Wilmington, Delaware.

She rowed for four years while obtaining her Bachelor of Science at Ohio State and currently serves on the board of the Buckeye Rowing Alumni Association.
