HHM Announces Expansion in East Palestine

  • March 16, 2009

EAST PALESTINE, Ohio – Harrington, Hoppe & Mitchell, Ltd. today announced that it has opened a law office in the location formerly occupied by the Allison & Blasdell law firm.

Attorney J. Bradley Allison, who joined HHM in January, will staff the office, located at 139 N. Market St. in the central business district.

“We are investing in East Palestine to better serve our clients here and to further develop our client base in the area,” said Alan D. Wenger, chair of HHM's management committee. “We look forward to growing along with the community.”

Allison is the law director for the City of East Palestine and a former partner with Allison & Blasdell. That firm dissolved recently as its senior partner, Daniel A. Blasdell, scaled down his private practice to focus on his work as municipal attorney for the City of Columbiana.

HHM will offer a full range of legal services in East Palestine, drawing on expertise from the firm's attorneys in Salem, Youngstown and Warren as needed.

“I am very pleased to have the opportunity to continue to service my clients in the East Palestine area with support from a firm capable of providing solutions for virtually any legal situation,” Allison said. “Our depth and breadth of expertise will be a valuable asset to businesses and individuals here.”

Following its practice in Salem, Youngstown and Warren, HHM expects to be heavily involved in East Palestine community affairs. The firm recently signed on to sponsor the East Palestine Chamber of Commerce's Adopt-A-Bulldog Campaign and will be decorating a bulldog statue for public display in the coming months.

Allison is a member and former chair of the Columbiana County Bar Association's Certified Grievance Committee. He is a member and two-time past president of the East Palestine Rotary Club, and also a former member of the Salem Community Hospital board of directors. He is president of East Palestine Playground, Inc. and a member of the boards of the Threshold Residential Services Foundation and the Nash Community Foundation.

In addition, Bonnie Davis, legal assistant in East Palestine, has more than 30 years of legal experience. She is vice-president of the East Palestine Rotary Club, and fiscal officer of the East Palestine Library.

Harrington, Hoppe & Mitchell Ltd. is the area's largest law firm, with nearly 30 attorneys at offices in Youngstown, Warren, Salem and East Palestine. The firm provides legal solutions to corporations, other businesses, non-profit organizations, government agencies and individuals.
